Suggestion: audition as early as possible for scholarship consideration.
Please contact me if you are unable to audition on one of these dates.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Music Education, Bachelor of Music Performance, or Bachelor of Arts applicants:
- Prepare the chromatic scale and all major scales using the full range of your instrument
- Prepare one movement from a major work such as a concerto, sonata, or contest piece
- Prepare one piece of your choice (can include etudes or solo pieces)
- You may be asked to sight-read
Master of Music applicants:
- Prepare two contrasting works (or substantial movements) from standard flute repertoire
- Prepare three orchestral excerpts
- You may be asked to play chromatic, major, and minor scales
- You may be asked to sight-read
