| … to the University of Minnesota Duluth Flute Studio website! Please take a look around to learn about flute study at UMD and our events and opportunities for the 2009-2010 school year. Dr. R.K. Srinivasan will be our guest on Thursday, November 5th and will be giving a masterclass and performance lecture on Indian music and the flute. He is a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and his visit is supported by Fulbright Programs. The faculty woodwind quintet will perform a recital each semester of this year and my faculty recital featuring music for flute and piccolo will take place on February 1. In April, MM Performance student Melanie Jordan and I will be flute soloists for Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 with the UMD Chamber Orchestra. See more info on the events page at the top!
